(2021, https://doi.org/10.1002/tax.12457), but their proposed synonymization remains debatable, as some of their analyses suggested it as a distinct species, a fact also corresponded by a later study (Tao et al., 2021, https://doi.org/10.3389/fgene.2021.717200 )).
